Rosé continues to be a style we play with and this is no exception. This tiny blend is from our winery block and continues our exploration with this multi-faceted grape. Field of Rosés is savoury and spicy embraced by attractive red fruits.
The ‘cool’ uncle of the family, EB59 is a hell of a lot more hip than it has any right to be. This Riesling was fermented in a similar fashion to many of our red wines – 100% whole bunches, extended foot-stomping by a local water polo hero, left on skins until dry and then matured in small format old oak. Think fresh ginger, supple tannin and enough attitude that people might mistake you for an inner-city twenty-something.
Plein Gaz (Full Throttle) is a wine that tackles our fears. Being brave enough to allow full malo fermentation, barrel stirring and extended maturation with minimal SO2 result in a young wine of far greater weight and depth. Or does it? This is an exciting part of our journey from 2019.
Coming in 14 days later than the first pick, the RS6 was fermented in concrete and then transferred to a single foudre for maturation. A slightly more generous fruit profile, but with the same driving acidity and firm structure that we have come to identify as the fingerprint of this site.
